Nathan Brewer is a writer and vocal arranger of Andrew Lippa’s Love Somebody Now (Theatrical Rights Worldwide). Directing credits include: Love Somebody Now (Red Mountain Theatre), Edie (Barrow Group, Edinburgh Fringe 2027), Date of a Lifetime (Abingdon Theatre Company), Ring of Fire (RWS Global), Piaf: A Centennial Celebration (The Town Hall), Seussical (Theatreworks/USA National Tour), Propaganda (New York Musical Theatre Festival), Funny Girl (Forestburgh Playhouse), Mirita (The Princeton Festival), Grand Hotel (Blue Hill Troupe and Pennsylvania Centre Stage), Gypsy, Parade, Merrily We Roll Along, Tick Tick Boom, The Secret Garden, Spring Awakening, Cabaret, Violet, and Sweeney Todd (Long Island Musical Theatre Festival). Mr. Brewer has directed galas and concerts for Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Washington National Opera, Park Avenue Armory, The Acting Company, and Adrienne Arsht Center, in addition to The Helen Hayes Awards, Standing Ovation Awards (Kennedy Center), and Hispanic Heritage Awards (aired on PBS). He is a professor of musical theatre at The New Studio on Broadway at NYU/Tisch, where he has directed Love Somebody Now, Damn Yankees, The Drowsy Chaperone, Urinetown, Cry Baby, and Disaster, and is the Theatre Minor Coordinator and professor of Lyric Theatre at The College of New Jersey. Nathan has directed numerous staged concerts for The American Pops Orchestra, Fairfax Symphony, and West Virginia Symphony. Assisting credits include Aladdin (Broadway), and Relatively Speaking (Broadway). Nathan is the founder and artistic director of Recreational Arts, a non-profit performing arts organization with over twenty programs in NY, NJ, and PA.
